Fairy, Mermaid and Unicorns

This is cool! It's been a while since I've google any pictures for this blog and tonight I decided to do a image search on google for "mermaids and fairies" and this was the first thing on the list. The website that I found it is here and the picture can be used as wallpaper for your computer. Really pretty.

Blurry Ballerina

My latest find tonight. From time to time I look for pictures of toys that I had (some still are up in my parent's attic)when I was little. Do it for the toys that my kids have too and find some interesting blogs or just a list of the old toys and what they are worth. I'm not planning on selling my old toys, but still it's interesting.
*Interesting find tonight (no, this isn't my "blog post find") but in my daughter's barbie doll clothes is a worn out ballerina barbie dress. Little snag in it, and I'm not really sure where it came from. Liked to find out now. Was the Barbie ballerina my sister's or a family member's? Or did it just come in a box from somewhere or a find a yard sale? The picture I found for the actual ballerina barbie is from the '70's and the person who has the picture on Flickr has a price for $8,000. Yeah, so maybe if I found out my old Rainbow Brite doll was worth something like that, maybe I'd be talking. :o)

Ok, so onto my picture find that I have to show off. Still on the whole "ballerina" subject here. I found a blurry picture of a little girl who was doing some ballet. I love the ballet all though I couldn't tell you much about it. It's just magical, like taking you to another world as you watch. Had to post this picture.
Not exactly where I found it. I think the actual link was bad but it still had a picture.

It's so blurry that I can't even make out the writing at the bottom corner. I've tried enlarging picture and at the end it looks like it says photography but who's I don't know.

EDIT: the more I look at the picture, I'm not 100% sure this is a little girl doing ballet. What do you think? Last night I got to thinking that maybe it's a blurred out picture of a little girl dancing at a wedding with a band in front of her.

New blogs

I have 2 new blogs that are definitely keepers. The first one I created last week. They say it is always good to keep a diary by your bed so that you can write about your dreams from the night before. Well, whenever I wake up, it's usually to my 2 year old son who is crying to get out of his crib. So, no time to jot dreams down beside my bed. But usually I'm sitting with my laptop in the morning checking emails, facebook and news. So why not start a new blog to write about my dreams? I think they're entertaining enough.

The second blog is my thought and reviews on Disney movies. The first post is about Peter Pan so I thought a Tinkerbell picture would be nice here. That's actually why the two pictures. Tinkerbell represents the "happy" Disney blog I hope to present and the mermaid sleeping on the moon of course represents what happens in my dreams. I have some happy dreams, but some are just........ out there.

Fairy Godmother

Need a Fairy Godmother? Here's one. Maybe if you're visiting another planet or virtual world, she'll be there.

I noticed last night that it was been 2 months since I posted a picture. I was going to find something with a mermaid but did a search for Fairy Godmother and came across this. The artists name is Onceuponatime13.

Along time ago I was going to start teaching myself to draw by drawing mermaids and fairies. I think I'm going to start that today. Maybe surprise myself and everyone else at my unknown talent.

Making fairies in a jiffy

I've had this picture on my desktop for a few weeks now. If you have a little girl who loves princess, tea parties, dress up; then you probably see this picture as your little girl too. This is so my daughter Shelby. This is so me when I was little. I've always thought of fairy godmothers being created out of bubbles. I think I got the idea from watching Cinderella. Isn't that how the fairy godmother came into the scene? Popped out of a bubble? Or was that just the bubbles from Cinderella singing?

It's almost 2 AM and I think I need to go to bed.

Inspiration

I created Mermaids and Fairy Princesses maybe over a year (and a half?) ago by searching for pictures of mermaids and fairy princesses through Google. Shelby was really getting into things like this and I just thought I would take a look of what could be on the web. A lot, I can tell you that! Some really beautiful and a few have been um....
Through the searching for pictures of mermaids and fairies, I came across a blog that was just fantastic to read. It was about a young girl who had fallen in love and shortly after the passing of her mother, she finds that her boyfriend,Demetri, is really a fairy. The author is named Aspiring Author and I think it is a perfect name. This girl, from what I've read in her profile and blog, is only in high school. She has a lot of hopes and dreams and one is to become an author. Aspiring Author, you are well on your way and it is clear by your stories that you have the talent.

Aspiring Author is not only brave to post one of her stories, but two. After giving her readers short pieces of her first story, she adds in a new one. This one about a teenage girl whose famous mother sends her to live with long lost cousins. Both stories are unforgettable after you read, and that I do encourage you to click on over to Aspiring Author's blog. Maybe you too can become inspired.

How I was going to start Mermaids and Fairy Princesses was to write some stories of my own since I do like to do that. Only problem is, I'm not brave enough to show them off since I still have very little written and afraid of what if I don't finish something. So I started writing a few posts of my life and pictures of the kids. Then I took stuff off. Then I wrote more more. Then off again. Finally I got inspired again. I had been unsure of what to really do with my blog here when I came across a friend's blog. Melanie's (maggie and mac's blog) is layered with pictures of her kids and this was something that I did not know was possible. I really love the way she has done her blog. It has inspired my new blog, The Prince and the Princess, dedicated only to two of the most precious children in the world, Shelby and Lucas.

It's been months since Aspiring Author has updated her blog and I really do miss reading about Lily and Shiloh I'm still hoping that one day I will sign onto blogger and I will see in my blog roll, Aspiring Author - 1 day ago...or 2 days ago. So Aspiring Author, if you are reading this; update! :o)
